Windows 11: How to Download Microsoft’s Latest Os

The newest operating system from Microsoft can be downloaded in a few different methods. We demonstrate each step for you.
Windows 11 is now available and prepared for you. Microsoft predicted in August of last year that “by mid-2022, the free update to Windows 11 will be delivered to all eligible devices.” Microsoft outperformed the deadline by releasing Windows 11 to the public on May 17.

Microsoft said in January that customers are upgrading to Windows 11 at a rate that is twice as high as that of Windows 10. Since Microsoft released the new operating system in October of last year, the company has been pushing it out to eligible devices. All users of Windows 10 are now eligible for a free upgrade, provided their computer is suitable.

As long as your device is compatible and satisfies the basic requirements, the upgrade procedure will seem identical to a typical Windows 10 update. (And even if it doesn’t, Microsoft will provide a fix, although in that event the company won’t support your Windows 11 installation.)

Windows 11’s new features, including widgets, snap layouts, virtual desktops, and the new Microsoft Store, are still available for manual download. Below, we’ll explain how. Here is all the information you need to know about Microsoft’s new software before downloading.

Don’t worry if you haven’t updated to Windows 10 yet; there is still a method for getting a free copy of the operating system. The method will be the same if you want to manually upgrade an old computer to Windows 11, albeit Microsoft doesn’t recommend doing this as it can mean that it won’t be able to receive the same updates.

How to Download Windows 11

Similar to how you would download any new version of Windows, users can download Windows 11. Simply click Check for Updates under Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. You’ll see the Windows 11 feature upgrade. Click Install and download.

The Windows 11 Installation Assistant is an additional option. To check if your hardware is compatible, download the assistant and click Run. After accepting the licensing terms, click Accept and Install to start the installation. Your computer will need to restart after the program installation is complete. Don’t panic if your computer restarts several times as the installation is being completed. Keep your computer running until everything is finished.

Other choices are available to you as well, but they are more difficult. Create an ISO file or installation media for Windows 11 if you’re certain you want to move forward. These steps are described in more detail on Microsoft’s page for downloading Windows 11.

Again, be aware that depending on your device’s hardware, Windows 11 may not be an option.

What’s in Windows 11

Windows 11 has a more modern, Mac-like appearance with pastel colors, softened corners, and a new starting sound. App icons are positioned in the center adjacent to the Windows Start menu, which has been moved from the bottom left of the screen to the center. There are many new desktop features available, including widgets that may provide information to you quickly and more straightforward virtual desktop construction. Additionally, Windows will integrate Android apps, which may be downloaded via the Microsoft Store, albeit this feature won’t be available immediately away. Since the release of Windows 10 in 2015, the operating system from Microsoft has undergone only minor updates. For the past year, rumors have been circulating about a significant redesign of Windows. The 1.3 billion Windows users worldwide should expect a substantial shift in 2021 after CEO Satya Nadella announced Microsoft was planning “one of the most significant improvements of Windows of the past decade” during the Microsoft Build developers conference on May 25 of last year. And as purported screenshots of Windows 11 circulated in mid-June, Microsoft discreetly declared that it would stop supporting Windows 10 in 2025.
