Apple Music Login – How Does It Work?

After Apple purchased Beats Electronics in 2014, including the Beats Music subscription service, Apple launched Apple Music in 2015.

Whether it was purchased from iTunes, copied from a CD, or downloaded from the internet, all of your music is in one place and accessible across all of your devices with Apple Music.

The streaming service provides personalised recommendations, internet radio (including the Apple Music 1 (formerly Beats 1) radio station among others), the ability to download songs to listen to later, curated playlists compiled by music industry professionals, Siri integration on iOS devices, and a lyrics viewer, among other features.

How much does Apple Music cost?

Standalone

After the trial period ends, you can choose from three different paid plans for Apple Music (with a fourth on the way). The monthly fee for an individual plan is £9.99, or $9.99. Family plans are available for £14.99 or $14.99 per month, which is less than Spotify’s equivalent price for three people. The third option, “University Student,” costs $4.99 a month or £4.99 in the UK.

A monthly fee of $4.99 (or £4.99) gets you access to Apple Music via voice commands made to Siri on your iOS or macOS device.

It’s worth noting there is the Apple One bundle too – detailed below – that will save you money if you subscribe to multiple Apple services.

Listen Now:

I picked some tunes you’ll like. It takes into account your stated preferences, your listening history, and the music you already own. When you initially open Apple Music, you’ll be asked to select your preferred musical styles and artists. From there, the screen will be flooded with recommendations, such as albums, guest playlists prepared by the artists themselves, playlists organised by genre, and so on. The section also features Recently Played and playlists based on your previous selections.

Browse:

Listen to a hand-picked assortment of tracks from all throughout the service’s library. Popular playlists, songs, albums, new releases, and other musical offerings are featured here as well. These newly curated selections can also be seen in a genre-specific format. You can also find City Charts, Music by Mood, and Daily Top 100 lists, among other things.

Radio:

This is where you may tune in to Apple Music 1, a worldwide radio station that airs nonstop. A play button appears at the top of the page for your listening pleasure. In the section below that, you’ll find stations comparable to Pandora, as well as the pre-Revolution versions of iTunes Radio’s channels. There’s also a personalized radio station that plays tunes it knows you’ll like.

Library: A central location for managing all of your music collections, whether they’re stored on CDs, in iTunes, or streamed via Apple Music. Playlists, artists, albums, and songs that you’ve recently added will always appear at the very top of the appropriate section. You can change the look of this page to suit your needs.

Using the Search button

, you may search your own library in addition to the entire Apple Music collection. You may use lyric search too; just type a few words from a song’s lyrics and it will bring up the appropriate results. In addition, it will reveal the most popular topics in this area.

What is the function of Apple Music?

Apple Music includes a plethora of built-in features, controls, and configuration options. Here are a handful of the most important:

Play music:

When you select the play button on a playlist or a song or album, a smaller player will display at the screen’s bottom. If you tap the miniplayer, you’ll be sent to the Now Playing screen, where you can do things like play the next track, skip the currently playing one, rate the song, add it to your favourites, share it, play it over AirPlay, add it to your collection, create a new station, or view the lyrics. Just swipe down to leave the page.

Use Siri:

You may ask Siri to “play the top songs from 2021,” “play more songs like this,” “add the new Drake album to my library,” “play all songs by Drake,” and “play my music by Drake” to hear all of Drake’s music, even if it isn’t in your library. Siri also allows you to randomly play music from a specific album or playlist. There will also soon be a variety of Siri-controlled playlists available. You could, for instance, ask Siri to provide some background music for your dinner party.

Search:

To look for specific genres, songs, albums, or artists, use the search bar located in the upper right corner of the screen. Both your own music library and Apple Music can be searched. You can get a wide variety of Drake-related content, including popular results, songs, albums, playlists, artists, and radio stations, by conducting a search for his name. Select “Your Library” at the very top to only see results that come from your personal library.

Build library:

Hit the “+” button to add an album or playlist to your library after searching for an artist like Drake, or tap the three dots next to a song and then “Add to Library.” When you select the menu button (three dots) for offline playback, you’ll see the option to “Download.” After adding an album, the plus symbol will change to a download icon.

Edit playlists:

From the Now Playing screen, tap the three-dot (more choices) button, and then select Add to a Playlist to add the current track or album to a playlist. You can then either add to an existing playlist or start fresh. You may organise your existing playlists or make new ones under Playlists on the Library screen. Adding music is as simple as filling in the blanks.

Hear Apple Music 1:

Choose the show now airing or one of the featured shows by clicking the Radio tab. On the radio page, you can not only see what is now playing but also a list of future shows and DJs.

Listen offline:

Using Apple Music, you may save local copies of any song, album, or playlist to use offline. If you’re going to be somewhere out of range, this is a good idea. Navigate to a track or album of your choosing, touch the menu button (three dots), and then tap the download button to save the item to your device (and library). You can store anything offline, and you can do it for as long as you choose. You may also add songs to your collection by tapping the “+” icon and then downloading them by tapping the icon again.

Your account:

In the upper right corner of the Listen Now section, you’ll find a profile icon. If you want to see what your friends are listening to, raise their subscription, or change how you’re notified, just tap your account name.
