Anne McCaffrey was born on April 1, 1926, in the United States. Science fiction fans will recognize the name of this Irish-American novelist most for her trilogy The Dragonriders of Pern. The White Dragon, one of her earliest forays into science fiction, was a New York Times bestseller. Astrologers have determined that Anne McCaffrey’s sun sign is Aries.

Todd and his sister Gigi were also granted permission by McCaffrey to create their own works set in the world of Pern.
