Limp Bizkit has announced the cancellation of their planned European and U.K. tour via a statement posted on the band’s official website, issued by frontman Fred Durst. The video includes Durst talking about how he got himself ready for the tour by getting some medical tests done, just to find out that his doctor wants him to stay around for further tests (and not take part in this tour).
In the video posted to TikTok that can be seen below, Durst expresses his real disappointment at having to cancel the tour. He maintains his optimism, assuring viewers that everything will be fine, but admits that he is disappointed nonetheless.
“Hello there, whoever is watching, and hello to all of our fans in the UK and Europe. I’ve chosen to put myself through a battery of tests to make sure I’m in good shape and healthy for the next summer tour of the United Kingdom and Europe in 2022. A letter from my doctor, telling me he doesn’t want me to go on tour right now so I can undergo more testing, came as a complete shock to me.
Now, having said all that, I want you to know that I am very sorry for the shock this has caused you and that I intend to make amends as soon as I can. It means the world to me that so many people planned to take time out of their summers to come to see Limp Bizkit perform this year. I apologize for the inconvenience and am already planning how I can make it up to you as soon as feasible.
“I’m sorry to say that it looks like we won’t be able to make it. Of course, all I can do is hope for the best and trust that all will work out in the end.
